Shop and Repair Services

Shop and repair services offered by BE&K Europe facilities are an integral part of the maintenance services on the one hand, on the other hand, they are an independent proposition for clients interested in a more specialized scope of services. For all that expect high quality and a professional technical expertise, BE&K Europe offers 5,000 m² of well-equipped shop facilities with nearly 350 professionals. All shops are environmentally controlled and have crane equipment.

    Shop equipment includes complete machine processing equipment:

    • a CNC water jet cutting machine (thickness up to 100 mm for steel materials and up to 150 mm for plastics; steel sheet size: 1,500 x 3,000 mm and 3,000 x 6,000 mm)
    • a CNC plasma arc/gas cutting machine, sheet size: width 2,500 mm, length 6,000 mm)
    • a CNC lathe (elements up to Ø 1,100 mm (swing over bed) lub Ø 740 mm (swing over carriage), length 4,000 mm)
    • universal turning lathe (elements up to Ø 2,000 and 3,000 mm)
    • flat surface lathe (elements up to Ø 1,000 mm (swing over bed) or Ø 700 mm (swing over carriage), length 9,000 mm)
    • boring machine (elements up to 1,800x1,600x2,000 mm - bench size 1,500 x 1,800 mm))
    • planing machine (elements up to 4,000 mm long, 1,000 mm wide)
    • grinding machine (elements up to Ø 400 mm, length 3,000 mm)
    • flat surface grinding machine (elements up to 1,000 mm long, 300 mm wide)
    • hydraulic shears for cutting of plates up to 20 mm thick and 3,100 mm wide
    • rolling of cylinders and cones of up to 22 mm thick plate, diameter 400 – 5,000 mm, section width 3,000 mm
    • rolling of 80 mm wide profiles

    Additionally, BE&K Europe has rebuilding and mechanical / chemical material property improvement capabilities (by Castolin, Capilla, Chesterton, Belzona) including:

    • rebuilding (pad welding)
    • application of composite materials
    • titanium, cast iron and non-ferrous metal welding
    • powder spraying:
      • metallic (with and without penetration)
      • ceramic
      • plastic

    BE&K Europe machine parts’ rebuilding capabilities (using welding methods and composite materials) include:

    • rebuilds of cast iron and aluminum alloy casings by welding and padding; reconstruction of missing elements by steel inserts, aluminum alloy inserts and by “cold process” with metallic pastes
    • rebuilds of highly alloyed casings by welding and with use of metallic pastes
    • welding of titanium elements
    • rebuilds of shaft necks, sleeves and other turning elements by welding (on a welding positioner), by metal powder spraying or covering with metallic pastes
    • application of ceramic linings (sealing sleeves, shafts)
    • rebuilds of abrasive surfaces with high abrasion resistant padding welds, also resistant to impacts, pressure and chemicals (hardness up to 63 HRC)
    • fabrication of parts and equipment with pad weld linings, highly resistant to mechanical and chemical wear (for example: chippers, bark, chips feeders, etc.)

    Rotary equipment repair shop offers repairs and inspections of:

    • rotary pumps, incl.: Gould’s, Scan, Ochsner
    • vacuum pumps, incl.: Voith, Nash, Beloit
    • gear boxes, incl.: Hansen, Santasalo
    • compressors, incl.: Ingersoll Rand, Linde
    • lobe blowers, incl.: Holmes

    Valve repair shop offers repairs and inspections of:

    • high pressure valve wedges (up to Ø 600mm)
    • poppet valves:
      • flat valve face (up to Ø 120mm)
      • conical valve face (up to Ø 50mm)
    • safety valves (up to Ø 600mm, pressure 20 MPA)

    Repair services are completed either at BE&K Europe shops or at the client’s site. All repaired valves are subject to a pressure test.

    Rolling stock repair shop offers repairs and inspections of:

    • fork-lifts
    • battery carts
    • heavy equipment (loaders, bulldozers, etc.)

    Crane equipment repair shop offers:

    • total maintenance services of crane equipment
    • repairs and modernizations of supporting structures and control systems
    • fabrication of new crane equipment based on own or client’s designs
    • erection and start-up of crane equipment

    Crane equipment can be equipped with remote control systems, smooth operation speed adjustment, lifting motion monitoring system, and new power supply systems.

    Additionally, BE&K Europe has a motor frequency converter diagnostics and repair station.

    Hydraulics repair shop offers:

    • total maintenance and diagnostics of hydraulic and lubrication systems
    • modernization and repair of hydraulic and lubrication systems:
      • modernization and repair scope definition
      • update of technical documentation
      • selection of elements to be modernized (with respect to costs, quality and client preferences)
    • repair of hydraulic elements:
      • cylinders
      • motors
      • pumps
      • accumulators
      • tests of elements after repair
    • assembly of new systems
      • design of hydraulic units, sets and lubrication systems
      • assembly of hydraulic units and sets
      • assembly of lubrication and central lubrication systems

      Instrumentation repair shop offers complete repairs and inspections of:

      • control and On-Off valves (plug, ball, butterfly)
      • pneumatic On-Off and control valve actuators
      • pneumatic and hydraulic single / multiple action solenoid valves
      • BTG rotary consistency transmitters
      • electromagnetic flow transmitters
      • mechanical batchers and flow meters
      • paper machine dryer run controllers
      • HVAC systems
      • instrument calibration and repair including:
        • flanged level transmitters
        • differential pressure, temperature, pressure, and vacuum pressure transmitters
        • pressure and temperature switches
        • electromagnetic flow transmitters
        • analogue and digital controllers
        • manual control stations and control panel indicators

      Additionally:

      Electrical repair shop offers:

      • inspection and repair of welding machines
      • inspection of dry transformers up to 100 kVA
      • power tools testing according to requirements of the Polish Norm
      • computer balancing of motor/fan rotary elements
      • design and installation of electrical, power supply and lighting installations
      • installation and start-up of control systems with frequency converters
      • ground fault tests and measurements

      FRP (Fiberglass Reinforced Piping, anticorrosion) shop offers:

      • chemical protection of equipment and vessels (with composite materials: elastomer, ceramic, polyester-glass and epoxide-glass laminate)
      • fabrication and erection of industrial installations (made of PE, PP, PVDF, PVC)
      • fabrication and erection of FRP industrial installations (made of polyester-glass and epoxide-glass laminate based on Derakane resins, fabrication of covers, fittings and atypical elements)
      • rubber coating of drums
      • joining and repair of conveyor belts using Rema TIP-TOP method
      • anticorrosion protection (paint coating) and surface preparation according to PN ISO 8501-1
      • protection of concrete with Sika materials

      Additionally, specialty shop services include:
